Destination Port
What is destination port and how do I use it within sACN and ArtNet slots?
Re: Destination Port
Hey Mitch,
the UDP port or Destination port is to determine which port the Art-net or sACN Packets are sent to in that particular IP Address.
There are 65,535 UDP ports per IP Address.
The standard fixed or default port for these protocols are below:
Art-net: 6454
sACN: 5568
These are usually only changed in custom networks and configurations with custom port forwarding.
Leaving these at 6454 and 5568 is fine and more than substantial for normal show network testing.
I hope this helps!
