Cat5 Cable Test

Not sure if it's possible with the NIC installed in the tester, but it would be awesome to be able to test all 4 pairs of Cat5/6 cable using a loopback adapter.

Additionally I would love to see if Cat5/6 cable testing becomes available it would be able to detect split pairs. I carry a Kelin VDV Commander for this reason in addition to the IQ LV.

Hello!

The original development philosophy behind IQ Tester is to have a true all-in-one device, so that there is no need for dongles, adapters etc.

We've considered possible routes to develop Ethernet testing, but at this time I currently don't have a concrete answer on how we might do it

Still it certainly seems Ethernet cable testing seems desirable in the kit and has been such a a common request, so we will discuss it further with the team

Thank you for your feedback
