Hello, first of all, congratulations on the great product that is the IQ Tester.
A company I work for has a similar device that has a feature I really miss in the IQ: the ability to record DMX sequences. Let me explain. My colleague, using the device I mentioned, records a highlight sequence from the console onto their device. Then, before the LX goes up, they play back that highlight to check that all fixtures are in the correct mode and properly addressed.
Another option I'd really like to see is a translator for LTC to Art-Net Timecode and vice-versa.
IQ Tester Feature Requests
Re: IQ Tester Feature Requests
Hello
Thanks for the suggestion and apologies for the delayed response on this
After some investigation, it seems like recording in this way won't be feasible with the current hardware
You can achieve a simplified version of highlighting using the CMD keyboard "ROT" function
You can set this up in the following way:
Note: that you will have to enter the CMD prompt each time you want to cycle more than 1 rotation step - but if you are stepping through 1 channel at a time, you can use the ► and ◄ buttons to shortcut as long as ROT is selected in CMD line
Regarding the timecode translator, this is something for consideration - will let you know more as it develops

You can achieve a simplified version of highlighting using the CMD keyboard "ROT" function
You can set this up in the following way:
- Set up the initial scene (by any editor)
- Enter a range of channels to rotate (in CMD keypad)
- Select ROT, enter direction and count (i.e. +/- and a count of channels)
- Press ENTER to rotate
- Open the RGB editor and set 1st pixel to whatever color mix is desired
- Switch to CMD keypad
- Input: THRU ROT + 3 ENTER - this will rotate all channels right by 3 DMX address (3 channels per pixel, because RGB)
- The next pixel should turn on and display the color mix chosen, then repeat as necessary
Note: that you will have to enter the CMD prompt each time you want to cycle more than 1 rotation step - but if you are stepping through 1 channel at a time, you can use the ► and ◄ buttons to shortcut as long as ROT is selected in CMD line

Re: IQ Tester Feature Requests
Hello!
This won't work for me because I don't work much with RGB cells. What I need is the ability to test fixtures before the rig goes up — record a DMX stream from the console and replicate it to test truss by truss.
So, I assume that feature is impossible in future releases, right?
Another request I have for you is the possibility of changing the mode of the same type of fixtures at the same time. This will be greate!
Thanks Logan
