Can you tell me which IQ Tester interface you are using to connect to Raspberry Pi? Is it the etherCON or the 5-Pin ports?

Any chance you can send us configuration file or a screenshot of your setup on OLA?

Just want to see how you have OLA and DMX Workshop configured and see if we can determine the cause

Thanks

After some deeper testing, I noticed that the OLA RDM dummy device's replies to RDM commands are a type of reply that is not yet supported by the IQ Tester (version 0.6.3 at the time of writing).

Due to a bug in the IQ Tester firmware(<=v0.6.3), the lack of support for this type of reply is causing the IQ Tester to get stuck in a loop of retrying to get a "proper" reply. This is causing the IQ Tester to crash because of a memory management issue.

DMX Workshop shows the RDM devices because the RDM device data is transferred through ArtNet RDM packets. DMX Workshop has full support for those, but the IQ Tester does not yet feature ArtNet RDM support (version 0.6.3 at the time of writing).

The memory management bug and missing support for the RDM reply type should be fixed in the next firmware release.

Thank you for reporting this!

Ah well fair enough

Makes sense why it did what it did and is doing what it is doing with that information

I’ll look forward to the next (or when ever it takes it ) release .

Always glad to help and what this thing to be as cool as it can be with the direction the Team is taking it .
