Trying to sort out why Active VLAN isn't working as expected. When I plug a network testing tool into a cable I see clearly a VLAN number appear. However, if I try the same with the IQ, it doesn't always show it.

If there are any packets with VLAN tags in network, they show up in "Active VLANS" - but these show up only when you are physically connected to a trunk port
If you want to see a VLAN of a certain other port, then detecting LLDP would be a better option
