Feature Requests

Post by cdew@live.ca » Sat Jul 20, 2019 4:42 pm

Been using the IQ Tester for a bit now and was wondering about the possibility of a few features:

- Ability to store and recall snapshots of the IP, mask and gateway settings

- Keypad command line style input for editing the DMX output

- All, 1 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3 type selection options for DMX output

- An option in the DMX scope similar to the Swiss on timing window that gives you the refresh rate, break length, etc.

- Being able to store fixture types, or load fixture types from a common console line (maybe GDTF standard, if not too large a file?)

And one possible bug:
- The back button in the signal scope brings up the settings, it doesn't take you back to the previous screen. The back button in the scope settings menu takes you back back the main timing menu, not the DMX scope.

Thanks

IQTester firmware version at the time of writing: v0.6.3

[ Ability to store and recall snapshots of the IP, mask and gateway settings ]
- Will be added in version 0.7 or 0.8

[ Keypad command line style input for editing the DMX output ]
- Will be added in version 0.8

[ All, 1 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3 type selection options for DMX output ]
- Will be added in version 0.8

[ An option in the DMX scope similar to the Swiss on timing window that gives you the refresh rate, break length, etc. ]
- Will be added in version 0.7 or 0.8

[ Being able to store fixture types, or load fixture types from a common console line (maybe GDTF standard, if not too large a file?) ]
- This is a planned feature, but will probably not be added before version 0.9 or 1.0

[ The back button in the signal scope brings up the settings, it doesn't take you back to the previous screen. The back button in the scope settings menu takes you back back the main timing menu, not the DMX scope ]
- Will look into this. Thank you for reporting the bug.
