We have found the issue that was causing the devices to constantly go offline. A bugfix version should be released this or next week.

Right now it is not possible to save and load DMX sources.
An option to save and load DMX sources is planned and will probably be added after some bug fix releases.

How long does it take for it to power off?

RDM is toggled when entering and exiting the RDM window.

In firmware versions up to v1.0.1 (including v1.0.1), RDM discovery is enabled on startup and will remain on until you enter and leave the RDM window.

This will be fixed in versions v1.0.2+

Is it possible that there was more than 1 universe 50 sACN source active on the network?

The IQTester is not able to merge multiple sources in version 1.0.1. If multiple same universe sources are coming in, then the output stream will contain flickering data from all of the same universe sources.

The IQTester will show up as a USB drive only after installing the bootloader - the instructuons are a bit off.
